HOW TO GET HERE ?

 The best way to get to Utlia is by boat or plain. There is a Ferry Boat (UTILA Princess) leaving from La Ceiba at 8:30 am & 16:30 pm am from all week (~10 $) and SOSA or Atlantic AIRLINES have daily flights from Monday to Saturday at 6:00 am , 7:30 am , 3:00 PM and sometimes 4:00 PM. The Tickets cost around 25 $.
From the Airport or Dock you can either walk or take a Taxi (~1,5 $) that will bring you anywhere in town. We do recommend the Taxi if you arrive from the airport.
Unfortunately when you arrive, people will sometimes try to hassle you about diving or hotels.it is cheaper and better to find out yourself; just politely say no and find first a room to settle down. After that you can make your round as you will find all the Dive Shops in walking distance.

There is a small 7-11 store in Sandybay to shop essentials at night
DIVING : AND WHAT ELSE ?
Snorkeling from the beach is easy and good : Try the Airport or Blue Bayou
Kayaking will allow you to penetrate the lagoons and lakes with outstanding wildlife. You can rent them at Ecomarine Gunters or at the Lodge in Sandybay.
HIKING
Some locals can take you inside the Island . Lots of Caves and Jungle make it worthwhile, but make sure you have good shoes and mosquito protection.
HORSEBACK
You be probably able to hire any horse you find ,just do ask the owner before riding into the sunset.
NIGHTLIFE
Utila is small so you won't take long to find out where people party. The Tranquila Bar or Coco Loco is a good starting point, later into the night check out the 07 Saloon or the Bucket of Blood Bar. Weekend and Full Moon Party's take place at the airport or Water Cay. Forget about diving the next morning...
RESTAURANTS
Mostly cheap and good all over Town. Try Munchies or Thomson's Bakery for Breakfast. The Castillo (european stile) ,The Drift Wood Cafe , Captain Jacks or any of the local Restaurants for Lunch and give in to Dinner at Las Delicias, EL CASTILLO (excellent european & international cousin at a great price) , Bahia del Mar or grab a snack before the Party on the streetcorner around the center where Baleadas and other small plates will fill your stomage...
